Probate – Reducing Legal Fees

Administering the Estate of a loved one, family member or friend is often a very upsetting process.  The last thing you need to worry about in addition is a lawyer overcharging for their work on the matter.

Matters can be even worse if there is a protracted dispute over a Will or if complexities arise relating to the Estate, whether these are legal, emotional, practical or a combination of these things.

Even in the context of probate proceedings, unfortunately some solicitors overcharge.  This is where CLF Law can assist.  We challenge legal fees and, in many cases, achieve significant reductions on excessive legal fees.

We can advise from the very outset as to whether your solicitor is proposing to charge you reasonable legal fees.  We can continue to advise as the matter progresses.  At the end, we can advise you as to whether you have been overcharged by your solicitor and, if so, we can act on your behalf to challenge the legal fees claimed.  We may even be able to help with bills you have already paid.
