It is always better to avoid a problem arising, rather than trying to fix it afterwards. Disputes over solicitors’ fees are no different. We can advise you when you first instruct a solicitor as to whether the amount they propose charging is reasonable. If not, we can negotiate a fair figure from the outset. We can also monitor the bills they send you as a case progresses to make sure their initial estimate is staying on track.

If solicitors know from the outset that their legal charges are going to be scrutinised, they are much less likely to seek to overcharge in the first place.
